Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hammer Time (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mairbek Taisumov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hammer Time!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mairbek Taisumov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Taisumov or perhaps it was just good defense by Time which made him look bad.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Taisumov.
Taisumov fails with a takedown attempt.
Hammer Time has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mairbek Taisumov.
Taisumov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Time as he jumps to the side.

Taisumov is looking to clinch.
Taisumov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Time is fending him off so far but Taisumov persists. Nope, Time circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Time misses with a kick to the body.

Time shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Taisumov tries to kick Time off in order to stand up. Time Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The ground and pound from Time seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Time postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Time tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Time has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Time decides to stand back up. Time steps back and let's Taisumov get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Time shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Time was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Taisumov keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Time controlling his opponent.
Time has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Time is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Taisumov has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Taisumov is in all sorts of trouble here.
Time tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Time seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Taisumov for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Taisumov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Taisumov jumps guard but Time stands there with Taisumov around his waist. Taisumov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hammer Time dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Taisumov shoots in for a double leg but Time sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Taisumov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Time shoots in for a takedown but Taisumov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Time moves into the clinch.

Time jumps guard and drags Taisumov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Time is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Taisumov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Taisumov sneaks back into half guard.
Time slows the pace down in half guard.
Time not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Taisumov is looking for a sweep. Time is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Time is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Time decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Time shoots for a takedown but Taisumov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Time counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Time has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

and Time counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Taisumov's guard now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Time accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Taisumov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Time gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Time stays in close to Taisumov's body and controls the position.
Hammer Time overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Time's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Taisumov keeping moving, preventing Time from controlling successfully.
Taisumov is trying to keep Time in close.
Taisumov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Time. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Time wants to stand but Taisumov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Time pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Taisumov is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mairbek Taisumov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hammer Time is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Time slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Hammer Time showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Time has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
