Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terry Bull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jhon fetra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bull comes into the arena with Sad but true blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
fetra lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Terry Bull has been cut.
fetra looks for a takedown but Bull sprawls well.
Bull closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bull lands in his opponent's guard.

fetra is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Bull wants to control from the top but fetra keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bull is really struggling to control fetra but he's trying to hold on to the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Bull counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Bull stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. fetra swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
fetra moves in looking to clinch but Bull pushes him off.
fetra tries to clinch there but Bull circles away.
fetra gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bull to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bull passes fetra's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Bull is looking for a kimura here.
fetra is controlling Bull's trapped leg to prevent Bull from advancing to side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bull is stalling here. fetra is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bull seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and fetra has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

fetra is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bull is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
fetra is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bull will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Bull might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

fetra working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bull sneaks back into half guard.
Bull wants to get back to full guard.

Bull is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute fetra jumps into side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bull sneaks back into half guard.
Bull moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bull escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. fetra gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
fetra missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
fetra shoots and misses
and Bull counters with a left and a right that stings fetra.
Nice takedown defense from fetra. No joy for Bull on that attempt.
fetra keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
fetra is looking to clinch.
fetra closes the distance and pushes Bull back into the cage.
fetra working some nice short punches in the clinch.

fetra throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Bull tries to pull guard but fetra won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Bull. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
fetra gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Bull regains guard.
fetra is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Bull has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but fetra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bull is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because fetra is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Bull doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bull tries to advance to mount but can't.
Bull throws an elbow but fetra slips to the side and avoids it well.
Bull wants to lay and pray for a moment but fetra keeps working.

Terry Bull is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bull is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Terry Bull.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bull, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
