Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, rick johnson!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biest moves in looking to clinch but johnson pushes him off.

johnson clinches up with Biest and pushes him back against the cage.
Biest has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Biest goes for a takedown attempt but johnson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
johnson looks to clinch

and Biest counters with a single leg into guard. johnson didn't expect that.

Biest got a little sloppy there for a moment and johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Biest has managed to get both his arms back between johnson's legs - danger averted.
johnson trying to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
johnson controls Biest momentarily but Biest frees himself.

johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Biest is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Biest's back instead.
johnson misses with punches from the back.

johnson cracks Biest with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Biest from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
johnson throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - johnson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Biest covering up well and avoiding damage.
johnson scores with punches from the back.
johnson not allowing Biest to control his hands.
Biest takes a big shot to the side of the head.
johnson trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

johnson looking for the RNC.
johnson is trying to stick to Biest's back but Biest is turning into johnson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in johnson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Biest.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Biest prevents johnson from getting back to his feet.
Biest wanted to stand there but johnson had control of the position.

Biest avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

johnson clinches with his opponent.

johnson jumps guard.
johnson trying to keep a closed guard but Biest is proving a slippery customer.
Biest is breathing heavily.
Biest trying to control but johnson is working from the bottom.
Biest loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

johnson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
johnson wants to control the position but Biest says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Biest is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Biest blocks the strikes from johnson.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

johnson instigates a clinch.

johnson breaks the clinch.
johnson tries to clinch but Biest moves away

and Biest counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
The is referee keeping an eye on johnson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but rick johnson will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!



johnson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
johnson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Biest is looking for a takedown up against the cage. johnson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
johnson wants to get back to striking at distance but Biest won't allow it.
A hook to the body from johnson.
Biest trying to stall but johnson improves his position.

johnson has Biest pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. johnson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Biest tumbling to the mat - johnson dives into Biest's guard.
johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
johnson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Biest might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

johnson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

johnson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Biest backs up against the cage.


It looks like Dimi Biest has been cut.
Biest swats away the attempt to clinch by johnson.

johnson has taken the fight to the clinch.
A short body shot lands from johnson as the two fighters clinch.

johnson decides to pull guard.
johnson controls Biest momentarily but Biest frees himself.

johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Biest can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

johnson has his feet on Biest's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fight stays on the outside here - johnson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
johnson tries to clinch up but Biest circles away and keeps his distance.

johnson clinches with his opponent.

johnson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Biest swats him away and circles back towards the center.
johnson lands a glancing blow to the side of Biest's head.
johnson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

johnson lands a left and a right that send Biest crashing to the mat, dazed. johnson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Biest is rocked!
johnson throws an overhand right that has Biest reeling! johnson follows up with more punches and Biest is out cold! This one is all over!
