Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tarmo Kink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Taste of Ink - The Used. Tarmo Kink looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kink shoots in but no luck this time.
Sanchez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Kink is rocked!

It looks like Tarmo Kink has been cut.
Kink lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kink has a takedown stuffed.

Kink shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sanchez can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kink throws a strike there. Sanchez manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

Kink gets to his feet. Sanchez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Kink closes the distance and clinches up with Sanchez, looking for a takedown. Kink pushes Sanchez against the cage but Sanchez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kink changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sanchez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Sanchez is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Kink has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sanchez is pressing down on Kink's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Tarmo Kink seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kink got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sanchez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kink has managed to get both his arms back between Sanchez's legs - danger averted.

Sanchez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kink doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kink manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Sanchez tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kink presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Sanchez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kink is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez tries for a takedown but Kink sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Kink feints and as Sanchez raises his hands in defense, Kink changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Sanchez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kink gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kink gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Sanchez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Horrible takedown by Kink or perhaps it was just good defense by Sanchez which made him look bad.
Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sanchez dives in and grabs Kink's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kink pushes down on Sanchez's head and hops out.
Tarmo Kink has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Sanchez.

Kink shoots in for a double leg but Sanchez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Tarmo Kink overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kink thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sanchez's head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kink looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sanchez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Sanchez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Sanchez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kink can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tarmo Kink.
I think Kink has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
