Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Romano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieth Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romano comes to the cage accompanied by Almost Easy -- Avenged Sevenfold. Matt Romano has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Romano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kieth Liddell! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romano bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Liddell bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Nice sprawl there from Liddell as Romano shoots in. Nice takedown defense from Liddell. No joy for Romano on that attempt. Liddell is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Liddell closes the distance and lands a one-two.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Romano wants to control but instead Liddell manages to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kieth Liddell dominated that round. The cut man is working on Matt Romano's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Romano fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Horrible takedown by Romano or perhaps it was just good defense by Liddell which made him look bad. Matt Romano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Romano shoots in for a double leg but Liddell sprawls well. Liddell pushes Romano away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Romano gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Romano remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Liddell takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Liddell is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Romano throws an elbow but Liddell slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Romano has an Americana. Liddell didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Romano is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Romano hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
