Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Leites (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendes comes to the cage accompanied by I gotta Feeling. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes moves in looking to clinch but Leites pushes him off.
Leites keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Leites fails in his attempt to clinch.

Mendes clinches up with Leites and pushes him back against the cage.
Leites looking for a takedown.
Mendes looking to slow down the pace here.
Leites looking to stall.
Leites has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mendes avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Mendes throws a knee to the head but misses.
Leites managing to block the knees to the body from Mendes.

Mendes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mendes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Leites looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Leites sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Leites wants to get back to full guard.

Mendes seems to be working for a kimura but Leites defends the submission attempt.
Mendes missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Leites tries to get to full guard but Mendes has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mendes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Leites sees it coming and defends easily.

Leites tries to roll over but Mendes keeps him under control.
Leites punching from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A right-left combo lands from Leites.

Leites moves into range and clinches up with Mendes.
Mendes is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Leites is trying to stall.
Leites tries to land knees in the clinch but Mendes avoids the damage to the body.

Mendes gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Leites gets back to full guard.
Mendes is breathing heavily.

Leites is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Mendes frees his head nicely. Oh but Leites has switched to an armbar! Mendes is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
