Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tata Grendizer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Genki Sudo! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grendizer shoots for a takedown but Sudo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Grendizer looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Sudo scores with a takedown into Grendizer's guard. Grendizer looking for a sweep. Not yet Grendizer, not yet. Sudo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Grendizer dives on top into guard. Grendizer trying to control but Sudo is working from the bottom. Grendizer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sudo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grendizer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Grendizer is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sudo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Grendizer is looking to work some ground and pound but Sudo has wrist control. Grendizer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sudo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grendizer has managed to get both his arms back between Sudo's legs - danger averted. Sudo keeping moving, preventing Grendizer from controlling successfully.

Sudo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Sudo is looking for a kimura but Grendizer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sudo to get the leverage. Grendizer is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sudo is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Grendizer is surviving well by controlling Sudo's body position as best he can. Grendizer can't escape the position.
Sudo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Grendizer can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Ooooh, that looks tight… Grendizer is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Grendizer and Sudo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sudo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Grendizer has escaped the position, nice work there. Grendizer is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Genki Sudo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Grendizer turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Sudo clinches up with Grendizer and pushes him back against the cage. Sudo gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Grendizer regains guard.
Sudo passes into half guard. Sudo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Grendizer is just riding it out for now. Sudo eventually gives up the hold. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sudo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Grendizer defends it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sudo is working for a kimura but Grendizer is defending it quite comfortably.
Sudo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grendizer flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Grendizer looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Grendizer tries to roll over but Sudo keeps him under control. Sudo stops Grendizer from getting back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sudo throws a head kick that misses. Grendizer shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Grendizer showed some decent athleticism there. Tata Grendizer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Genki Sudo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sudo trying to control here.
And that's the end of the fight! Genki Sudo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Sudo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
