Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Game Breed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gene Paolo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gene Paolo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gene Paolo!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breed lands a jab to the nose.
Breed tries to clinch up.
Breed fails in his attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Breed looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Paolo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Breed bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Breed trying to control the position but Paolo is working away.
Paolo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Breed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Breed is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Paolo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Paolo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Breed shoots in looking for a takedown. Paolo tries to sprawl out of it but Breed keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Paolo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Breed tries to close the distance and clinch up but Paolo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Breed falls off balance throwing a combination
and Breed takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Paolo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Breed closes this distance looking for a takedown but Paolo circles away.
Breed is breathing heavily.
Breed shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Breed has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Paolo is desperately trying to improve his position but Breed has a good base and remains in mount.

Paolo wants to control but Breed is having none of it.

Breed looking to ground and pound but Paolo is blocking nicely.
Paolo is wriggling around trying to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Breed is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Paolo is surviving well by controlling Breed's body position as best he can.
Paolo wants to hold on but Breed pushes him away.

Breed throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Paolo because Breed loaded up on that one.
The referee warns Paolo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Game Breed will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Breed is looking to take a break and control but Paolo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Breed in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Paolo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Breed!
