1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Juan Tigas! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McArthur tries to close the distance and clinch but Tigas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. McArthur moves in looking to clinch but Tigas pushes him off. Tigas misses with a wild combination.
McArthur is looking to clinch but Tigas is avoiding it.
A jab-cross combination lands for McArthur and sends Tigas crashing to the mat! McArthur follows him down to the mat - Tigas regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
It looks like Juan Tigas has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Tigas punching from the bottom.

Tigas tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Tigas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McArthur's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McArthur's back! McArthur has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
That's one minute gone in the round. McArthur covering up well and avoiding damage. Tigas missing with strikes. Tigas scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. McArthur is looking for a way out. Tigas missing with strikes. McArthur is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tigas missing with punches from the back. McArthur controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Can McArthur hold on?! Tigas is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Tigas tries to keep control of the position but McArthur is staying busy. McArthur controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Tigas throws a series of strikes and McArthur wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tigas throws some wild stikes that McArthur manages to avoid easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tigas lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Tigas throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Tigas lands with some vicious ground and pound - can McArthur hang on? Tigas is landing with some decent strikes but McArthur is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. McArthur's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tigas looking to ground and pound but McArthur is blocking nicely. McArthur wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Tigas.
McArthur is bucking up trying to escape but Tigas cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Tigas looks gassed! Tigas thowing shots but they're missing. Tigas landing strikes from the mount and McArthur is in trouble! Tigas scoring with strikes but McArthur is staying in there. Tigas throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for McArthur because Tigas loaded up on that one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob McArthur dominated that round. The cut man is working on Juan Tigas's cut. That's time! McArthur's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
McArthur tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tigas swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tigas shoots for a takedown but McArthur saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. McArthur doesn't manage to clinch there - Tigas circles away.
Tigas throws out a loose jab but McArthur uses good head movement to avoid it. Tigas avoids the head kick by McArthur.
Rob McArthur is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from McArthur! Tigas is out on his feet! McArthur rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Tigas is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Tigas is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
