Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Patureau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Banha Silvia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patureau's entrance music is eminem - sing for the moment. A fine choice. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patureau closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Patureau lands in his opponent's guard.
Silvia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Patureau gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silvia looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Patureau drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silvia manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Patureau has Silvia in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silvia passes Patureau's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Patureau is looking to control Silvia's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Patureau avoid being mounted?

Patureau pushes Silvia off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

and Patureau counters with a nice body kick.
A jab lands there for Patureau.
Patureau tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silvia swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Patureau gets underhooks to prevent Silvia's takedown attempt.
Vitor Patureau has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Banha Silvia.

Silvia is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Patureau really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Silvia drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Patureau gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Patureau gets through Silvia's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Patureau will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silvia tries to move to full mount but Patureau actually manages to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Banha Silvia will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Patureau tries to clinch but Silvia is having none of it.
Patureau drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Patureau has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Patureau wants to control from the top but Silvia keeps moving.
Patureau postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Silvia is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Patureau, into his guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Patureau is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silvia is controlling him.

Silvia drops back looking for a leg! Patureau is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Patureau manages to kick Silvia off! Silvia jumps back into Patureau's guard.
Silvia is in close to Patureau's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Patureau wants to stand and escape but Silvia is having none of it.

Silvia passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Silvia scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Patureau to see if he's OK.
Patureau wants to get back to his feet.
Silvia is trying to get an arm triangle but Patureau is defending well.
Silvia cracks Patureau with a big elbow.

Patureau wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Silvia lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Patureau down.
Silvia thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silvia is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Patureau is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Patureau pushes Silvia away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Silvia gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Silvia lands a big shot there that rocks Patureau but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

You get the feeling that Patureau really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Silvia is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Patureau with him. Patureau is trying to defend but Silvia has an arm under the chin now! Patureau grimaces and is forced to tap out!
