Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Justin Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buane Slugwig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slugwig has chosen The Trillions as his entrance music. Justin Page looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slugwig moves into the clinch.
Page can't break the clinch.
Page jumps guard but Slugwig stands there with Page around his waist. Page gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Slugwig lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Page.

Slugwig's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Slugwig has taken the fight to the clinch.
Slugwig has Page pushed against the cage.
Page is trying to break free.
Page tries to break free but Slugwig pushes him back against the cage.
Page wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Page tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Slugwig smiles and moves away.

Slugwig pushes Page up against the cage in a clinch.
Page looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Page jumps into guard, dragging Slugwig to the mat.
Page is breathing heavily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Slugwig accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Page seems keen to control Slugwig's posture.
Slugwig working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Slugwig cracks Page with a solid left hand.
Slugwig distracts Page with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Slugwig throws a big right hand that misses.

Slugwig sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Page's guard.
Slugwig wants to control but Page is keeping him busy.

Slugwig thows a huge punch but Page dodges it nicely.
Page is not content to let Slugwig control the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Slugwig lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Slugwig seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Page does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Nice strikes from Slugwig there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Page knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Slugwig on the ground.

Slugwig decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Slugwig shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Slugwig showed some decent athleticism there.
Page tries to kick Slugwig off in order to stand up. Slugwig Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The strikes coming from Slugwig are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Slugwig misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Slugwig wants to lay and pray for a moment but Page keeps working.
Page tries to bench press Slugwig off him but Slugwig keeps the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Slugwig is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Page's half guard.

Slugwig tries to clinch but Page is having none of it.

Slugwig feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Page looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slugwig is one step ahead there.
Page on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Page tries to get out of the position.

Slugwig stands and steps away. Page gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Page closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Slugwig to the mat! Slugwig manages to get full guard.

Page seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Buane Slugwig showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Slugwig drops back, looking for a kneebar! Page looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Page looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Page!
Page works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Slugwig tries to bench press Page off him but Page keeps the position.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Page.
Page defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Slugwig.

Slugwig thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Page's head.

Buane Slugwig comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Slugwig has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
