The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diamond misses with an uppercut. Doubleday saw that one coming. Diamond misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Doubleday keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Diamond's efforts to push away. Doubleday breaks from the clinch.
Diamond wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Doubleday misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Diamond defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Doubleday. Diamond throws a right and a left that both miss. Elroy Diamond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diamond lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Diamond gets caught flat footed, as Doubleday shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Diamond pushes Doubleday off and scrambles back to his feet.

Diamond displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Doubleday. Diamond misses with a jab, cross combination.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Doubleday slows the pace down here. Doubleday throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Diamond works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Doubleday trying to control the position from guard on top but Diamond is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Doubleday is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Doubleday tries to clinch and Diamond counters with a one-two to the body. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Doubleday is defended easily by Diamond. Doubleday has taken the fight to the clinch.

Diamond gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Doubleday to score an easy takedown into full guard. Doubleday stands and steps away. Diamond gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Diamond counters with a nice uppercut. Doubleday fails with a takedown attempt. Diamond throws a combination that misses and Doubleday counters with a shoot takedown. Diamond fights it but they end up in guard. Diamond is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Diamond has control of Doubleday's left arm, preventing Doubleday from doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Ronny Doubleday comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Doubleday has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
