Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andrew Storm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oliver Mason!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mason.

Mason fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Storm sprawls well initially but Mason persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mason is trying to control the action in half guard but Storm is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Storm is controlling Mason's trapped leg to prevent Mason from advancing to side control.
Storm is trying to get back to full guard.
Mason not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Mason throwing shots but Storm is blocking nicely.

Mason is trying to control the action in half guard but Storm is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mason misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Storm.
Mason shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Storm defends it nicely.

Mason shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Storm is concentrating on defense, preventing Mason from advancing position.

Mason is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Mason is keen to just control but Storm is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mason with the ground and pound but Storm uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Mason wants to control from the top but Storm keeps moving.
Mason looking to pass the guard.
Mason won't allow Storm to sweep him here.
Storm is adopting a defensive guard.
Mason wants to stand but Storm is controlling his posture from full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Storm keeps the fight on the outside.
Storm tries for a takedown but Mason circles away easily

and Mason counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Mason looking to sit in guard and control but Storm gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oliver Mason dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Horrible takedown by Storm or perhaps it was just good defense by Mason which made him look bad.
Andrew Storm is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Storm throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mason was covering up waiting for the punch and Storm finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mason looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Mason trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Mason working a defensive guard but Storm manages to pass into side control anyway.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mason is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Storm is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Storm sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Mason has given up his back here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Storm trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Mason doesn't escape.
Mason covering up well under a series of strikes from Storm.
Mason looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Mason wants to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Storm is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Mason is trying to break free.
Storm avoiding Mason 's attempts to control his hands.
I would not like to be Mason right now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mason defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Storm's arms.
Mason has hold of Storm's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mason is in bad spot here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Storm dominated that second round.
That's time! Storm's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Mason throws a head kick that misses.
Storm leaves Mason with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mason doesn't manage to clinch there - Storm circles away.
Mason doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Storm counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mason's guard now.
Mason throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Storm controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Mason takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Mason throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Mason looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Storm puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Mason is trying to stand up here but Storm is controlling him well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mason wants to control but Storm is keeping busy.
Mason wants to sweep but Storm has passed to side control!
Mason dodges the ground and pound from Storm.
Mason tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Storm controlling his opponent.
Mason is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Storm has taken his back!
I would not like to be Mason right now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Storm not allowing Mason to control his hands.
Mason wants to escape the position.
Storm is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mason wants to control his opponent's hands but Storm gets his hands free.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andrew Storm showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Storm has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
