Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerel Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Moody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henry Moody!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Moody stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The fight stays on the outside here - Johnson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Moody shoots in but no luck this time.
Johnson throws a right and a left that Moody avoids nicely.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Moody swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Moody changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Moody manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Moody fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Moody escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

and Moody holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Johnson tries to break the clinch but Moody is controlling the position.
Johnson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Moody tries to pull guard but Johnson won't allow it.

Moody throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Johnson blocks it with crossed arms.

Moody tries to throw a body punch but Johnson avoids it by throwing Moody back against the cage.
Moody jumps guard but Johnson stands there with Moody around his waist. Moody gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

and Johnson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jerel Johnson will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
