Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Janna Jabroni! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, jake the snake! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! the snake slaps away a takedown attempt from Jabroni, before circling back to the center of the mat. the snake throws a right and a left that Jabroni avoids nicely. the snake misses with a few strikes there.
Some wild striking there from the snake.
Jabroni gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows the snake to score an easy takedown into full guard. Jabroni has his foot on the snake's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. the snake works his way back into a safe position though. Jabroni kicks the snake off and gets to his feet. the snake connects with a crisp jab. Jabroni gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. the snake trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jabroni's guard. the snake is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's one minute gone in the round. the snake throwing strikes but missing. the snake missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. the snake throws a strike but Jabroni rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. the snake wants to stand up but Jabroni is controlling him. Jabroni passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Jabroni passes to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jabroni looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jabroni is breathing heavily. the snake is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jabroni asserts his dominance and retains side control. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jabroni landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
It looks like jake the snake has been cut. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. the snake is looking to regain half guard here but Jabroni keeps moving and retains side control. Jabroni is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. the snake knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. the snake is trying to buck Jabroni off. the snake takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. the snake gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The referee warns the snake that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
A nice elbow there by Jabroni. Feeble punches landing from the snake - he's mounted - they can't hurt. the snake is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Jabroni locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! the snake is forced to tap!
