Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miguel Del Soto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, iwanna box! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Del Soto fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. box sprawls well initially but Del Soto persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Del Soto is nestled in close to box, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Del Soto controlling the action here. Del Soto has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Miguel Del Soto just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. box throws a right and a left that Del Soto avoids nicely. box fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's one minute gone in the round. Del Soto slips a straight right by box. Del Soto scores a takedown into full mount! Del Soto controlling from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. box is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Del Soto controlling the pace for now. box in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Del Soto in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Del Soto controlling from mount. Del Soto takes box's back. box holding both Del Soto 's hands and preventing any damage. Del Soto is riding his opponent, not letting box buck him off. Del Soto scores with punches to the body. I would not like to be box right now.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Del Soto is cranking box's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for box! He's tightened the choke and box is tapping out!
