Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aris BenJudah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Phosphate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aris BenJudah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Phosphate! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for BenJudah with that takedown attempt. Phosphate is looking to take this fight into the clinch. BenJudah closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - BenJudah lands in his opponent's guard. BenJudah wants to stand but Phosphate has a closed guard, so he can't escape. BenJudah prevents Phosphate from getting back to his feet. Phosphate controls BenJudah momentarily but BenJudah frees himself. BenJudah drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and BenJudah jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. BenJudah drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Phosphate dives on top into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phosphate distracts BenJudah with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Phosphate wants to stand but BenJudah has a closed guard, so he can't escape. BenJudah is working an open guard so Phosphate takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Nice sprawl there from Phosphate as BenJudah shoots in. BenJudah throws a right hand that Phosphate ducks under and follows up with a left that Phosphate also avoids with ease. Phosphate is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in BenJudah's half guard. BenJudah is breathing heavily. Phosphate wants to work for an arm triangle but BenJudah is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Phosphate prevents BenJudah from standing back up.
Phosphate is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so BenJudah is just riding it out for now. Phosphate eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Phosphate decides to stand up. Phosphate scores with a one two! BenJudah had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Phosphate clinches up against the cage. BenJudah drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aris BenJudah. That's going to take a lot out of him. Phosphate works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Phosphate really doesn't want to stay on the ground with BenJudah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Phosphate loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Phosphate makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Phosphate must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Phosphate is working BenJudah over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Phosphate gets to his feet - BenJudah follows without any prompting. Phosphate decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Phosphate is looking for a kimura but BenJudah is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Phosphate to get the leverage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nice strikes from Phosphate there. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Phosphate connects with a nice short shot to BenJudah's temple. Phosphate landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Phosphate is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Phosphate is trying for a kimura here. BenJudah looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Phosphate wins by kimura!
