Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tomato Can (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomato Can has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tomato Can!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Wallace lands an impressive looking overhand right. Can doesn't seem phased though.
Wallace swings for the body but Can moves out of range.
Wallace scores with a nice right hand.
Can looks to score with a jab to the body but Wallace is just out of range.
Can throws a series of punches but Wallace avoids them all with ease.
Wallace blocks a jab.
Wallace moves into range and connects with a jab.

Wallace shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Can napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Can manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Wallace is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Can pulls his head out easily.
Can passes to full mount!
Wallace can't escape the position.
Wallace bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Can wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Wallace is now in half guard.
Wallace blocks the strikes from Can.

Wallace is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Can is just riding it out for now. Wallace eventually gives up the hold.
Can regains full guard. Nicely done.
Can looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wallace is one step ahead there.
Wallace slips nicely into half guard.
Can throws a strike from the bottom but Wallace passes into side control!

Wallace tries for a kimura but Can is defending well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Can throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Can tries to buck Wallace off but Wallace is having none of it.
Can is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Can missing with punches from the bottom.
Can trying to control but Wallace postures up.
Can gets full guard.
Can throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Can misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Can kicks off Wallace and gets to his feet.
Can is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wallace.

and Wallace counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Can!

Can slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Can misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Wallace looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Can tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Wallace seems to be working for a kimura but Can defends the submission attempt.
Can trying to control but Wallace postures up.

Wallace is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Can is just riding it out for now. Wallace eventually gives up the hold.

Can avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wallace looks to land a right hand but Can moved out of range.
Can misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Wallace counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Can keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wallace takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Wallace throws a shot from downtown. Can moves away and avoids it.
Wallace cracks Can with an open hand slap.
Can thuds a left hand into Wallace's body.
Wallace misses with a looping left.
Can shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wallace as he jumps to the side.
Can displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wallace throws out the jab.

Wallace uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Can.
Can throws a series of punches but Wallace moves out of range.

Wallace comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wallace scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Wallace is breathing heavily.
Can ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Can working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Can missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Can trying to move into half guard but instead Wallace has managed to sweep!

Wallace is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Can keeping full guard, as Wallace tries to pass.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Can has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wallace can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Can is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Can had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wallace is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Can Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wallace's back instead.
Wallace turns into Can and is now in his guard.
Wallace pushes down on Can's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Can gets back to full guard.
Can lands an upkick as Wallace stands over him.

Can has his feet on Wallace's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Can walks into a stiff left hand from Wallace.
Can ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Can defending well as Wallace loads up on a big left hand.
Wallace cracks Can with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Wallace scores with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tomato Can dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Can ducks under a wild hook from Wallace.
Can doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Can throws a big shot that misses.

Wallace bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Can sneaks back into half guard.
Tomato Can overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Can missing with punches from the bottom.
Can is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ground and pound from Wallace.
Can flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Can throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Wallace manages to pass to side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Can manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wallace's best efforts.

Wallace not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Wallace trying to control the action but Can is working from the bottom.

Wallace is working for a kimura but Can is defending it quite comfortably.
Can works his way to full guard. Good work.
Wallace postures up.
Can tries to strike from the bottom.
Can striking off his back but it's not causing Wallace any problems.
Can looking for a sweep. Not yet Can, not yet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Horrible takedown by Can or perhaps it was just good defense by Wallace which made him look bad.
Wallace stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jab by Wallace.
Nice uppercut lands for Wallace. That snapped Can's head back.
Can throws a sloppy body shot
and Wallace counters with a nice body shot.
Wallace lands a jab.
Wallace ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Can lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Wallace scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Wallace jabs Can right on the nose. Can blinks but takes it well.
Can moves forwards but Wallace connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wallace thuds his right hand into Can's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Wallace bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Can is looking to wear down Wallace with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Wallace throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wallace shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wallace takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Wallace throws a looping overhand right but Can ducks down to avoid it.
Some wild striking there from Wallace.
A shot to de liver by Can. Beautiful body shot.
Can tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wallace was well out of range. Poor timing from Can.
Wallace misses with a hook. Can ducked under it nicely.
Can takes one to the side of the head.
Chuck Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice defenses there by Can.
Can ducks under a wild hook from Wallace.
Wallace cracks a nice hook into Can's ribs.
Wallace connects with a right hand. Can shakes it off.
Can throws a body punch but Wallace moves out of range.
Wallace misses with a double jab

and Can counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Can content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Can wants to control from the top but Wallace keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Can avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Wallace looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Can with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Can working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wallace's head.
Can trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Wallace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Can gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wallace has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tomato Can.
I think Can has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
