Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kakashi Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Noriega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kakashi Mishima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marco Noriega! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noriega lands a body shot.
Noriega throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No joy there for Mishima, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mishima is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Noriega's half guard. Mishima throwing shots but Noriega is blocking nicely. Mishima is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Noriega sees it coming and defends easily. Noriega is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Noriega regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Mishima. Mishima working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Noriega tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mishima has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mishima trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Noriega manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Noriega got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mishima has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Noriega has managed to get both his arms back between Mishima's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noriega working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mishima's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mishima working for a triangle but Noriega defends it easily.

Noriega connects with a couple of short punches. Mishima working a defensive guard but Noriega manages to pass into side control anyway.
Mishima is looking for a sweep. Noriega cracks Mishima with a big right hand but Mishima just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Mishima is working to avoid the ground and pound but Noriega connects with a decent elbow. Mishima struggling a bit here. Mishima is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Noriega landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Noriega happy to just control the position for now. Check out the look on Noriega's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Mishima tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Noriega wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Noriega decides to stand back up. Mishima tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Noriega needs to keep his hands up - Mishima had a free shot at his head there. Mishima takes the fight into the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mishima with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Mishima is looking to clinch but Noriega is avoiding it.
Noriega rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mishima moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kakashi Mishima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice uppercut there from Mishima. Noriega steps into range and cracks Mishima with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Mishima flops backwards and Noriega dives into his guard looking to finish!
Mishima is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Noriega scoring with punches to the head and body. Oh Mishima is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Noriega stands up over Mishima, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Mishima will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Mishima wants to control but Noriega passes easily into half guard.
Mishima seems to have got his legs back now. Noriega trying to mount his opponent but Mishima defends it. Noriega is controlling the pace.
Noriega drops an elbow to the side of Mishima's head. Mishima is staying active underneath Noriega, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Noriega content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. It looks like Noriega is going to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mishima on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Mishima wants to improve his position but Noriega is controlling well.
Noriega trying to pass the guard but Mishima defending well. Noriega is keen to just control but Mishima is a slippery customer. Mishima flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Mishima is staying active underneath Noriega, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mishima actively working from the bottom here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Noriega displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mishima. Noriega fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marco Noriega dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Noriega scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mishima doesn't seem bothered though. Noriega lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Mishima falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Marco Noriega!
