Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hirohidi Takanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Q Tip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takanaka comes to the cage accompanied by Bleach - Dead Blood. Tip has chosen Check the Rhime as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hirohidi Takanaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Q Tip! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Takanaka misses. Tip walks into a jab. Takanaka throws a hook to the side of Tip's head but Tip sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Takanaka leaves Tip with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Takanaka wants to clinch up but Tip keeps it at a distance. Takanaka doesn't manage to clinch there - Tip circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tip uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Takanaka. Tip misses with a straight right. Takanaka pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tip slips under a jab. Takanaka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tip manages to avoid it. Takanaka connects with a nice looking jab.
Takanaka throws out a loose jab but Tip uses good head movement to avoid it. Tip bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Takanaka manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Takanaka is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tip's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tip's back! Tip really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Takanaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tip trying to control the action but Takanaka just sinks the hooks in. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Takanaka's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tip wants to escape the position.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Takanaka is working for a rear naked choke. Tip is not defending it well and Takanaka has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Tip refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Tip's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hirohidi Takanaka!
