Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcel Chapron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PJ Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chapron comes to the cage accompanied by Darude - Sandstorm . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Marcel Chapron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, PJ Jones! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Chapron.
Chapron has managed to clinch.
Chapron wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Jones prevents Chapron from breaking the clinch. Chapron breaks from the clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Jones takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. The fight moves into the clinch position. A short right from Chapron on the inside. Chapron creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jones's defenses. Chapron working some nice short punches in the clinch. Chapron comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Chapron pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Chapron throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chapron has Jones up against the cage in a clinch.
Chapron escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chapron moves into the clinch. Chapron breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chapron is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Chapron circles away and we're back to standing. Chapron smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Jones fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chapron goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chapron is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Chapron circles away and we're back to standing. Marcel Chapron has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of PJ Jones. Chapron lands a head kick!
Jones looks gassed! The fight moves into the clinch position. Jones is trying desperately to land a takedown but Chapron is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Jones. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chapron lands with a right to the head. Chapron scores with a shot to the side of Jones's head. Chapron breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones tries to keep at a distance but Chapron has taken the fight into the clinch. Chapron wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on Chapron's face as he tries to break the clinch. Chapron lands with a short head shot on the inside. Jones drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Chapron prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is working for takedown but Chapron is calmly controlling the position for now. Chapron lands a body punch in the clinch. Chapron breaks the clinch.
Chapron fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage. Chapron breaks the clinch.
No joy there for Chapron, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Chapron scores with a three punch combo!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones. Chapron is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jones has just dragged him back down to the mat. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chapron keeps working. Chapron wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Jones is trying to move to mount but Chapron reverses beautifully and ends up in Jones's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chapron would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chapron manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones's corner is telling him to maintain position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jones slips nicely into half guard. Jones wants to pass to mount but Chapron is defending the position. Chapron is looking to escape. Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Chapron is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcel Chapron dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

It looks like PJ Jones has been cut. Jones looks for a takedown but Chapron sprawls well. Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chapron sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Chapron is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard. Chapron keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jones is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Chapron has managed to free his arm - good work. Chapron tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Jones trying to mount his opponent but Chapron defends it. Jones wants to take a breather but Chapron is having none of it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Chapron lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Chapron drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.

A head kick from Chapron lands but Jones takes it in his stride. Jones throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chapron was covering up waiting for the punch and Jones finishes the takedown easily into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chapron wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it. Chapron is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around?

Jones stands and throws Chapron's legs to the side, diving into side control. Chapron seems a little lost for a moment, as Jones dominates the positioning. Chapron tries to escape but Jones is in control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Chapron is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jones yanks on the arm and Chapron is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jones.
