Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Biff Boneham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Weese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boneham comes to the cage accompanied by Push It To The Limit. Randy Weese has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Biff Boneham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randy Weese!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Boneham.
Weese fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boneham manages to avoid it.
Boneham fails with the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boneham.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Biff Boneham. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Weese has managed to clinch.
Weese will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Boneham up against the cage.

Weese's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Boneham shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Weese but Weese pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Boneham shoots for a double leg takedown but Weese sprawls well. He's pushed Boneham's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Weese rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boneham moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Weese tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boneham was well out of range. Poor timing from Weese.
Boneham looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Weese is fending him off so far but Boneham persists. Nope, Weese circles away and we're back to standing.

Weese closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Boneham did well to prevent Weese getting side control.

Weese is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Boneham defends it well.

Boneham is not content to let Weese control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Weese has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Weese has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Weese is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Boneham has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Boneham!

Weese bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Boneham tries to bench press Weese off him but Weese keeps the position.

Weese swings around for an armbar but Boneham sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Weese's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Weese sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Boneham tries to reverse the position but Weese maintains control.
Weese breaks from Boneham's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Boneham is wriggling around trying to escape.

Randy Weese showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Weese fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Boneham sprawls well initially but Weese persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Weese drops back, looking for a kneebar! Boneham looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Boneham looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Boneham!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Weese throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Boneham was covering up waiting for the punch and Weese finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Biff Boneham.
Well Weese has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
