Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Raymer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raymer comes to the cage accompanied by Summertime - Mungo Jerry. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Freddy Fernandez!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raymer is looking to clinch.
Raymer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.


Fernandez is rocked!


It looks like Freddy Fernandez has been cut.
Raymer fails with an attempt to clinch.
Greg Raymer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fernandez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The fight stays on the outside here - Raymer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fernandez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Fernandez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Raymer has escaped the position, nice work there.
Fernandez advances to full mount.

Fernandez has control of Raymer's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Raymer regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Raymer is in all sorts of trouble here.

Fernandez wants to finish this one by submission but Raymer is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Fernandez.

Fernandez has control of Raymer's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Raymer regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Fernandez pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Raymer tries to lock up and control but Fernandez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Fernandez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Raymer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fernandez is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Raymer is surviving well by controlling Fernandez's body position as best he can.

Raymer takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Fernandez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Raymer is looking to get to half guard.

Fernandez wants to finish this one by submission but Raymer is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Fernandez.
Raymer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fernandez on the ground.

Fernandez is landing with some decent strikes but Raymer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Fernandez lands a big shot there that rocks Raymer but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fernandez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Fernandez stands up from mount. Strange move.
Fernandez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Raymer is fending him off so far but Fernandez persists. Nope, Raymer circles away and we're back to standing.
Raymer tries to clinch up but Fernandez circles away and keeps his distance.
Fernandez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Raymer but Raymer pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Raymer slow jab from Fernandez misses its intended target.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fernandez looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Greg Raymer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Freddy Fernandez.
Raymer fails in his attempt to clinch.
Fernandez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Raymer as he avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Freddy Fernandez dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Raymer is looking to clinch but Fernandez is avoiding it.
Raymer throws a nice looking combination but Fernandez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Raymer moves in looking to clinch but Fernandez pushes him off.

Fernandez jumps into guard, dragging Raymer to the mat.

Fernandez is looking for a triangle but Raymer pushes his legs off easily.

Fernandez has his feet on Raymer's thighs here. He's pushed Raymer off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Raymer screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
