Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, quick star!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, small power!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
power throws a nice outside leg kick.
power misses with a two punch combination.
star has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like quick star has been cut.
power tried to score with a low kick but star checks it.
star throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
power closes the distance and clinches up with star, looking for a takedown. power pushes star against the ropes but star circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A nice combination there by power.
star throws a head kick that power semi-blocks.

star takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

star got a little sloppy there for a moment and power has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, star has managed to get both his arms back between power's legs - danger averted.

That's time! star's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and power makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. star really felt that one!

power throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

power jumps guard but star stands there with power around his waist. power gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

star lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

power is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of star's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take star's back!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
star thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

power manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

power cracks star with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
power scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish star?
star tries to lock up and control but power gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
power fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
power lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
