The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jammer tries to clinch up. Jammer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Curwin defends it nicely. Jammer fails with the takedown. Curwin throws a nice inside leg kick. Jammer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Curwin swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Jammer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Curwin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Curwin wants it to stay on the feet. Curwin throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jammer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Curwin as he jumps to the side. Curwin is looking to clinch. Curwin is looking to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Jammer. Curwin leaves Jammer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jammer is breathing heavily. Curwin rushes Jammer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Curwin putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Jammer in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Curwin controlling the action here for a moment.
Nice elbow from Curwin. Curwin creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jammer's defenses. Curwin lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Jimmy Jammer has been cut. Curwin working Jammer over with knees to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Curwin obliges. Curwin scores with a knee to the head.

Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jammer uses from the top position. Jammer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Curwin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jammer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jammer with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Curwin is looking for a triangle but Jammer pushes his legs off easily.
Curwin wants to sweep but no luck. Jammer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Curwin swivels though and keeps the full guard. Curwin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Curwin is on top in guard.
Curwin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Curwin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jammer's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Curwin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jammer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Curwin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Curwin trying to control the position from guard on top but Jammer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Curwin with a flurry of punches that miss. Jammer throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Curwin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Curwin working Jammer over with knees to the body. Curwin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jammer uses from the top position. Curwin is trying to control the position but Jammer postures up. Curwin wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Curwin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Curwin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jammer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Curwin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jammer avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Curwin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Curwin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Curwin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jimmy Jammer's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Jammer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Curwin moves in looking to clinch but Jammer pushes him off. Jammer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jimmy Jammer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Curwin moves into the clinch. Jammer takes an elbow to the temple. Curwin tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Jammer has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Curwin is looking to control Jammer's arms but Jammer gets an underhook and turns him. Now Curwin has his back to the cage. Curwin tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jammer on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Curwin connects with a nasty looking knee right to Jammer's face.
Jammer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jammer shoots in looking for a takedown. Curwin tries to sprawl out of it but Jammer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Curwin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Curwin clinches but Jammer breaks the clinch so Jammer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's one minute gone in the round. Curwin looking for a sweep. Not yet Curwin, not yet. Curwin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Curwin is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Curwin connects with a nice short shot to Jammer's temple. Jammer is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Curwin scores with a couple of nice shots. Jammer on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Curwin is working for a submission of some sort.
Jammer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Curwin pulls his head out easily. Curwin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Curwin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jammer keeps working. Jammer on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jammer is defending against the submission attempts here by Curwin.

Nice strikes from Curwin there. Paul Curwin has got the better of the ground game so far. Curwin seems to be working for a kimura but Jammer defends the submission attempt. Curwin is looking for a kimura but Jammer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Curwin to get the leverage. Jammer actively working from the bottom here. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Jammer is looking for a sweep. Curwin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Curwin drops an elbow to the side of Jammer's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Curwin working over Jammer with some ground and pound. Jammer looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Nice strikes from Curwin there. Jammer is not content to let Curwin control the position. Jammer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Curwin passes to full mount! Jammer is squirming around, avoiding Curwin's attempts to control the action. Curwin breaks from Jammer's wrist control and lands an elbow. Curwin with good strikes from the mount here! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Curwin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Curwin lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Curwin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jimmy Jammer's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Curwin looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Curwin drives through and clinches with Jammer against the cage.
Curwin gets control of Jammer's arms and successfully pulls guard. Curwin will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Jammer trying to control the position from guard on top but Curwin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jammer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Curwin is keeping the position for now. Curwin is looking for a triangle but Jammer pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jammer is pressing down on Curwin's thigh, looking to free his foot. Curwin is holding on for now. Curwin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jammer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jammer's back! Oooh a big shot gets through from Curwin. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Curwin is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Jammer up.
Will Curwin go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Curwin lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Curwin has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Jammer. Curwin is not going to allow Jammer to sit and survive in this position. Curwin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Curwin is landing with strikes from the back.
Jammer is rocked! Jammer is trying to defend against the choke here but Curwin has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Curwin Tightens the hold and Jammer taps out furiously! Curwin displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
