Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Aruba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Basso Toscano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mauricio Aruba could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Basso Toscano's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mauricio Aruba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Basso Toscano! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aruba misses with a low kick. Aruba misses with a body shot.
Aruba fails to land with a series of punches.
Aruba tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Toscano swivels and escapes. Toscano shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Aruba wants to control but Toscano is having none of it. Toscano looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Toscano is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Aruba can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Toscano with shots to the head and body - Aruba looks very uncomfortable down there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Toscano with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Toscano lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Aruba is looking to improve his position but Toscano isn't that keen on the idea. Toscano is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Aruba can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aruba wants to hold on but Toscano pushes him away. Aruba keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Toscano quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Toscano but it's paid off an Aruba is forced to tap! Nice work by Toscano.
