Ducks has chosen It's Raining Men as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Ducks!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs moves out of range of the strikes.

It looks like Jeffrey Jacobs has been cut.

Jacobs throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ducks was covering up waiting for the punch and Jacobs finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jacobs drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jacobs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ducks swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jacobs controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jacobs is looking to advance position but Ducks has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jacobs tries to reverse the position but Ducks maintains control.
Jacobs tries to hold on but Ducks pushes him away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jacobs is trying to reverse the position but instead Ducks has taken his back - oops!

Ducks doesn't have the hooks in and Jacobs manages to turn into his guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jacobs has a takedown stuffed.
Frank Ducks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jacobs fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Jab, jab by Ducks - just one landing.
Jacobs shoots in looking for a takedown. Ducks tries to sprawl out of it but Jacobs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ducks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jacobs shoots in for a double leg but Ducks sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jacobs feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jacobs is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Jacobs might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
