The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fist fails with an attempt to clinch.
Laidlaw should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

and Laidlaw counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Laidlaw thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fist's head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Laidlaw escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fist gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Laidlaw has his foot on Fist's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fist works his way back into a safe position though.
Iron Fist has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
