Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steissi Mave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and cassius clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). clay has chosen Face the pain as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mave has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Steissi Mave looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for clay.
Mave is breathing heavily.
Mave avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mave fakes a jab and throws a low kick but clay checks it well.
clay tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mave looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? clay is fending him off so far but Mave persists. Nope, clay circles away and we're back to standing.
clay tries to clinch up but Mave circles away and keeps his distance.
Mave has a takedown stuffed.
clay throws a nice outside leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

clay has taken the fight to the clinch.

clay breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

clay sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Mave to the ground! clay dives into full mount looking to finish!

Mave is rocked!

It looks like Steissi Mave has been cut.
clay trying to control but Mave is having none of it.
Oh Mave is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mave seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mave is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mave swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
clay wants to control the pace but Mave is squirming around nicely.
clay is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Despite being in the dominant position, cassius clay just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A head kick lands from clay that sends Mave to the canvas. Mave tries to scramble back to his feet but clay brings him back down into side control.
Mave is looking for a sweep.
Mave isn't going anywhere.

clay has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Mave closes the distance and clinches up with clay, looking for a takedown. Mave pushes clay against the cage but clay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steissi Mave. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mave takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Mave closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mave lands in his opponent's guard.
Mave won't allow clay to sweep him here.

Mave trying to control but clay is working from the bottom.
clay trying to keep a closed guard but Mave is proving a slippery customer.
Mave landing with the ground and pound.
clay is trying to control the position but Mave postures up.
Mave prevents clay from getting back to his feet.
Mave could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mave wants to control from the top but clay keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

clay knocks Mave to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
clay wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mave keeps working.
clay gets to mount! Mave was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
clay wants to control the pace but Mave is squirming around nicely.
Mave is wriggling around trying to escape.
clay tries to control but Mave wriggling away.
Mave might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mave tries to get back to half guard but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
clay tries to control but Mave wriggling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

clay tries to clinch up.
clay throws a head kick that misses.
clay keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
clay lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Mave can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from clay and Mave drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by clay.
