Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takero Yoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takero Yoshi!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jones wants to clinch up but Yoshi keeps it at a distance.
Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Yoshi did well to prevent Jones getting side control.

Yoshi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jones's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jones's back!

Yoshi is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Jones has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Yoshi has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Jones taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Yoshi doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Takero Yoshi!
