Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cassidy Whithelaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Martinez 's choice of entrance music: Paparazzi. Matt Martinez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whithelaw ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A clash of legs there as Whithelaw blocks the low kick.
Martinez cracks Whithelaw with an uppercut from hell and Whithelaw crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Martinez 's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Whithelaw is rocked!
It looks like Cassidy Whithelaw has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Martinez trying to stand up but can't free himself from Whithelaw's guard.
Oh Whithelaw is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Whithelaw has Martinez pulled in close to control his posture.
Martinez wants to pass the guard but Whithelaw is keeping the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Martinez is looking to stand up but Whithelaw won't let him.
Whithelaw looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Martinez puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Martinez is taking a breather. Whithelaw says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Whithelaw is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Martinez 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Martinez 's back!
Whithelaw is persistently looking for the submission but Martinez is defending it well.
Whithelaw is trying to stick to Martinez 's back but Martinez is turning into Whithelaw. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Whithelaw's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Martinez .
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Martinez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Whithelaw seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Martinez throws a head kick but Whithelaw moves out of range.
Martinez misses with a series of wild punches.
Whithelaw takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Martinez and Whithelaw goes tumbling to the canvas! Martinez follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Oh Whithelaw is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Whithelaw wants to control but Martinez is keeping busy.
Whithelaw seems to have got his legs back now.
Whithelaw might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Whithelaw is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Martinez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Whithelaw moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Whithelaw is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Martinez wants to control from the top but Whithelaw keeps moving.
Whithelaw is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Martinez is aware though and is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Martinez tries to free his leg and advance position but Whithelaw is retaining full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Martinez lands a jab.
Martinez cracks Whithelaw with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Whithelaw looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Martinez finish him?
Whithelaw is rocked!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Martinez knocks Whithelaw out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
