Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazuya Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joaquim Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuya Kazama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joaquim Costa! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazama gets in close and instigates a clinch. Costa jumps guard but Kazama stands there with Costa around his waist. Costa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Costa drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kazama pulls his leg out and moves away.

Kazama with a body punch. A glancing blow. Nice takedown defense from Kazama. No joy for Costa on that attempt. Kazuya Kazama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joaquim Costa. Costa gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kazama.
It looks like Joaquim Costa has been cut. Kazama fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Costa, pushing him back against the cage. Kazama breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kazama throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Costa walks into a straight right hand from Kazama. Costa shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Kazama tries to clinch but Costa moves out of range. Kazuya Kazama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kazama connects with a looping right hand.
Costa gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kazama. Kazama lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Kazama tries to bum rush Costa with a series of wild strikes but Costa uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Costa takes one on the button. Kazama works the jab nicely. Kazama waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Costa. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Costa to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Costa is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Costa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kazama is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Costa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kazama's back instead. Costa is still in real trouble! Can Kazama finish him? Costa looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Costa looking for the choke but no joy. Costa seems to have recovered his senses. Kazama is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Kazama defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Costa's arms. Kazama can't escape the position.
Kazama manages to reverse the position and now he's in Costa's guard. Nice work there by Kazama.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazama would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kazama got a little sloppy there for a moment and Costa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kazama has managed to get both his arms back between Costa's legs - danger averted. Kazama trying to stand up but can't free himself from Costa's guard. Kazama slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Costa has his foot on Kazama's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kazama works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Costa keeping full guard, as Kazama tries to pass. Kazama wants to get up but he can't break Costa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Costa needs to keep his hands up - Kazama had a free shot at his head there. Kazama cracks Costa with an open hand slap. Costa takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Kazama is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. A kick lands to the mid section there for Kazama. Kazama clinches with his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kazama's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kazama scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Kazama scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kazuya Kazama dominated that round. The cut man is working on Joaquim Costa's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Kazuya Kazama is winning the standup battle so far. Kazama throws a right and a left that both miss. Kazama ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Kazama looks for a takedown but Costa sprawls well. Nice straight punches there by Kazama. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kazama. A lazy left from Kazama finds it's target. Kazuya Kazama is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice sprawl there from Kazama as Costa shoots in.

Costa has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Costa has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Costa there as he acknowledges the shot. Decent striking displayed by Kazama there. Kazama changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Kazama closes the distance and lands a one-two. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kazama clinches up against the cage.

Kazuya Kazama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joaquim Costa. Kazama lands a lovely overhand right. Kazama comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Kazama scores with a nice head shot. Kazama scores with a crisp jab that stopped Costa in his tracks. Nice body punch from Kazama. Kazama punishes Costa's body with a nice straight punch. Kazama drops Costa with a nice combination! Kazama dives into Costa's guard, looking to finish!

Kazama controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Costa is working an open guard so Kazama takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Kazama shoots in but Costa avoids the takedown attempt easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kazama lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Costa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kazama is fending him off so far but Costa persists. Nope, Kazama circles away and we're back to standing. Kazama tries to clinch up. A nice combination there by Kazama.

A big left from Kazama misses. Kazama is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Costa can do to turn this around? Kazama lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Costa at a distance.
Costa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kazama throws a quick inside leg kick. The fight stays on the outside here - Kazama looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kazama moves into range and clinches up with Costa.

Nope, Kazama circles away and we're back to standing. Kazama fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Costa on the side of the head. Kazama goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Kazama throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Kazama throws out a powerful jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kazama connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Kazama throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Costa on the side of the head.

Kazama forces Costa back against the cage and clinches. Costa is working for takedown but Kazama is calmly controlling the position for now. Joaquim Costa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kazuya Kazama is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Costa misses with a body punch.
And that's the end of the fight! Kazuya Kazama showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kazama has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
