Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gold Mine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Jab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mine comes to the ring accompanied by Kardinal Offishall - Ol' Time Killin' . Marvin Jab is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gold Mine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marvin Jab!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mine shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jab is trying to defend but Mine finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Mine controlling the action here.
Jab manages to get to full guard.
Jab looks gassed!
Mine scoring with some ground and pound.

Jab looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mine passes into side control.
Jab struggling a bit here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mine wants to control but Jab is keeping him busy.
Mine is really struggling to control Jab but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Mine stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Mine tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jab sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mine somewhat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jab misses with a takedown attempt - Mine sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mine really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mine tries to clinch up but Jab circles away and keeps his distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gold Mine dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jab misses with a takedown

and Mine counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mine performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jab is trying to stand.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Mine wants to work for an arm triangle but Jab is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Jab wants to control but Mine is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jab is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Mine jumps into side control!
Jab is looking to regain half guard here but Mine keeps moving and retains side control.
You can see the frustration on Jab's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mine lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mine.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mine tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jab swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jab changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mine tries to avoid it but Jab manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mine to the ground. Mine escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jab slaps away a takedown attempt from Mine, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mine works over Jab's head and body with a nice combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gold Mine dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Jab tries to clinch up.
Mine wants to clinch but Jab slips to the side

and Jab moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mine pulls Jab into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jab preventing the sweep.
Jab wants to get up but he can't break Mine's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Jab won't allow Mine to sweep him here.
Mine has a closed guard, preventing Jab from standing up.
Mine is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Jab stops Mine from standing up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mine looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jab misses with a takedown

and Mine counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jab's guard now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mine loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jab is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mine scoring with punches to the head and body.

Jab looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mine passes into half guard.
Mine takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mine trying to control from half guard but Jab is working away.
Marvin Jab has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jab regains full guard. Nicely done.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mine pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jab is keeping the position for now.

Jab has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mine is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jab.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gold Mine showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mine, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
