Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Guus Meeuwis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank N (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Guus Meeuwis ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank N! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meeuwis shoots in for a takedown but N shows good takedown defense. Meeuwis closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. N did well to prevent Meeuwis getting side control. Meeuwis wants to pass to mount but N is defending the position. Meeuwis is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
N pushes Meeuwis off and gets back to his feet. N swings away with a leg kick that misses. Meeuwis shoots in for a takedown but N shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Some wild striking there from N.
N with a lazy takedown attempt and Meeuwis counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Meeuwis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and N defends it well. Meeuwis seems to be looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. N gets back to full guard.
N tries to land a sweep but no joy. Meeuwis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. N swivels though and keeps the full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Meeuwis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Meeuwis tries to free his leg and advance position but N is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. N shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. N misses with a two punch combination.
Meeuwis drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Meeuwis postures up.
N wants to sweep but no luck. Meeuwis trying to control the position from guard on top but N is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Meeuwis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! N is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Meeuwis , into his guard. Meeuwis tries to strike from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meeuwis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but N can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Meeuwis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. N is aware though and is defending well. N tries to free his leg and advance position but Meeuwis is retaining full guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as N accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. N keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Meeuwis 's head. N wants to pass the guard but Meeuwis is keeping the position. Meeuwis working for submissions but it's allowed N to get to half guard.
Meeuwis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. N lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. N looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Meeuwis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Meeuwis is staying active underneath N, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meeuwis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. N thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Meeuwis looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Meeuwis desperately trying to maintain half guard. Meeuwis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. N is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Meeuwis ! Meeuwis defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from N. Meeuwis is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Meeuwis is working hard here to advance position. N with shots to the head and body - Meeuwis looks very uncomfortable down there. N has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Meeuwis 's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Guus Meeuwis will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Meeuwis dodges the punch combination from N.
N pulls out of a head kick attempt.
N keeps Meeuwis at a distance using the push kick. Meeuwis has his takedown stuffed and N counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. N scores to the head and body with a nice combination! N misses with a two punch combination.
Meeuwis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Meeuwis is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but N still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, N has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! N working the head with strikes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. N is working Meeuwis over with some ground and pound from side control. Guus Meeuwis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meeuwis is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Meeuwis 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. N scoring with punches and elbows. N in side control, throwing shots but Meeuwis defends. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. N lands a nice forearm strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Meeuwis tries to improve position but can't. N looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Meeuwis manages to work his way to half guard, despite N's best efforts. Meeuwis is staying active underneath N, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Meeuwis actively working from the bottom here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. N connects with a nice short shot to Meeuwis 's temple. N missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Meeuwis looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meeuwis is trying to defend against the ground and pound but N scores with a couple of nice shots. N is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Meeuwis reverses the position - he's now on top in N's guard. Meeuwis wants to control from the top but N keeps moving. Meeuwis forces his way into half guard. Meeuwis is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meeuwis working some strikes from top position. Meeuwis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Meeuwis is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! N is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! N has escaped and now he's on top! Meeuwis working for a triangle but N defends it easily.
N stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Meeuwis swivels though and keeps the full guard. Meeuwis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. N gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. N postures up and lands a big shot to Meeuwis 's brow. Meeuwis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but N can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. N landing with the ground and pound. Meeuwis wants to sweep here but N controlling him for the moment. N sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Meeuwis 's guard. N moves into full mount! Meeuwis won't be happy about that! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Meeuwis is trying to escape the mount.
Meeuwis tries to lock up and control but N gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank N showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Meeuwis 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
N misses the jab. Meeuwis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches N napping and manages to drive through into side control! Meeuwis wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by N, who protects the arm well. Meeuwis wants to control but N is keeping him busy. Meeuwis swings around for an armbar but N sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Meeuwis 's guard. N got a little sloppy there for a moment and Meeuwis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, N has managed to get both his arms back between Meeuwis 's legs - danger averted. Meeuwis trying to control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. N scoring with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meeuwis keeping moving, preventing N from controlling successfully. N looking to pass the guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells N's corner. There ya go! There ya go! N distracts Meeuwis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. N throws a strike but Meeuwis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Meeuwis is looking to pass into half guard but N pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now N is in guard. N is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Meeuwis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Meeuwis has escaped and now he's on top! Meeuwis wants to pass the guard but N is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meeuwis won't allow N to get back to his feet. Meeuwis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Meeuwis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! N is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Meeuwis , into his guard. N is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Meeuwis has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. N is looking to defend but Meeuwis has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for N! Meeuwis pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, N taps out and this one is all over!
