The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
AdAdAdAdAd gets the takedown into side control.

AdAdAdAdAd throws a strike aimed at the side of Johnson's head but Johnson avoids it well.
Johnson is looking to regain half guard here but AdAdAdAdAd keeps moving and retains side control.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet but AdAdAdAdAd drags him back down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

AdAdAdAdAd closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
AdAdAdAdAd lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Johnson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
AdAdAdAdAd is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Johnson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

AdAdAdAdAd fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johnson sprawls well initially but AdAdAdAdAd persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
AdAdAdAdAd throwing shots but Johnson is blocking nicely.

and AdAdAdAdAd counters with a nice double leg into side control. Johnson won't be happy with that.
AdAdAdAdAd is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Johnson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
AdAdAdAdAd has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Johnson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but AdAdAdAdAd is controlling him well.

AdAdAdAdAd escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

AdAdAdAdAd is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Johnson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of AdAdAdAdAd's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take AdAdAdAdAd's back!

AdAdAdAdAd manages to reverse the position and now he's in Johnson's guard. Nice work there by AdAdAdAdAd.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

AdAdAdAdAd feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
