The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelsons closes the distance and clinches.
St Pierre is working for takedown but Nelsons is calmly controlling the position for now.
Nelsons turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
St Pierre is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

St Pierre is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nelsons is controlling him well.
Nelsons is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. St Pierre knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
