The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meeoff looks to land a right hand but Silva moved out of range.
Meeoff throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Silva shoots in but Meeoff avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Meeoff is looking to clinch.

Meeoff has taken the fight to the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Silva.

Meeoff breaks from the clinch.

Meeoff moves into the clinch.
Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Meeoff pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Meeoff throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.
Meeoff swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Meeoff misses with a few strikes there.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Meeoff, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Meeoff against the cage but Meeoff circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Meeoff throws a series of punches but Silva avoids them all with ease.
Meeoff keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Meeoff works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Meeoff drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.

Meeoff lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Meeoff circles away.

Meeoff instigates a clinch.

Silva tries to pull guard but Meeoff holds him up against the cage and eventually Silva drops back down to his feet.

Meeoff is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Silva wants to break free but Meeoff has control.

Meeoff breaks from the clinch.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Meeoff closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.

Meeoff pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Meeoff avoids the body shot from Silva.
Meeoff fails to land with a series of punches.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Meeoff shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Silva tries for a takedown but Meeoff sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Meeoff will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Meeoff decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Meeoff is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Silva is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
