Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jean Carlos Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Martini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mario Martini!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Martini uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ortiz.
The fight stays on the outside here - Martini looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ortiz misses with a straight left.
Martini lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Ortiz moves out of range as Martini strikes.
Ortiz misses with a two punch combination.
Martini scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ortiz is looking to clinch.
Martini's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Martini duly obliges.
Martini on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Martini fails with a takedown attempt.
Ortiz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Martini was covering up waiting for the punch and Ortiz finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ortiz gets to his feet. Martini looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Martini fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ortiz.
Martini misses with a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ortiz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Martini shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ortiz as he jumps to the side.
Ortiz doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Martini decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ortiz's guard.

Ortiz is pulling down on Martini's head to control his posture.
Ortiz wants to sweep here but Martini controlling him for the moment.
Ortiz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Martini drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ortiz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ortiz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ortiz!

Martini is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ortiz has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Ortiz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Martini is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Martini is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The strikes coming from Ortiz are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Martini wants to control but Ortiz postures up.
Martini sneaks back into half guard.
Martini tries to kick Ortiz off but Ortiz keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Martini moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ortiz preventing the sweep.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Martini swats away the attempt to clinch by Ortiz.
Ortiz wants to clinch
and Martini moves into the clinch.
Martini tries to pull guard but Ortiz holds him up against the cage and eventually Martini drops back down to his feet.
Ortiz presses Martini against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Ortiz fails to pull guard.
Ortiz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ortiz throws a head kick that misses.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Ortiz.
Martini tries to clinch but Ortiz is having none of it.
Ortiz throws a series of punches but Martini moves out of range.
Ortiz tries to land a front kick but Martini steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Martini on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ortiz. Ortiz obviously looking to wear him down.
Ortiz scores with a leg kick.
Ortiz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A left and a right from Ortiz both land. Nice combination.
Martini tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ortiz swivels and escapes.
Martini throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ortiz counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Martini is breathing heavily.
Ortiz throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Ortiz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ortiz wants to control the action but instead Martini gets a body lock and reverses into Ortiz's guard! Nice work!
Martini is fighting to break Ortiz's control of his arms but Ortiz is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Ortiz looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Martini passes into side control.
Martini trying to control the action but Ortiz is working from the bottom.

Ortiz struggling a bit here.
Martini is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Ortiz looks calm but he's in trouble here. Martini gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Ortiz is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Martini lets go of the hold and Ortiz can pop his arm back in it's socket.
