The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black wants to clinch.
Ivanov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ivanov scores with a body shot.
Ivanov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ivanov swats away the attempt to clinch by Black.
Black takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Black fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ivanov shoots in and drives through. Black sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aleksander Ivanov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ivanov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Black is trying to defend but Ivanov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ivanov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Black does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Black can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ivanov tries to pass to full mount but Black defends it.

Ivanov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Black is just riding it out for now. Ivanov eventually gives up the hold.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ivanov misses with a head shot. Black uses the momentum to regain guard.
Ivanov is pushing down on Black's leg trying to pass to half guard. Black is fighting to maintain full guard but Ivanov has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ivanov trying to control the action but Black is working from the bottom.
Ivanov is really struggling to control Black but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Ivanov maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Black could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Ivanov has cracked it and Black is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Ivanov!
