Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sid Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caleb Cottrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bodies-Drowning Pool. Cottrell has chosen Honor by Atreyu as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sid Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Caleb Cottrell! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor throws a head kick but Cottrell moves out of range.
Cottrell tries to clinch but Taylor is having none of it. Cottrell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Taylor defends it nicely. Taylor misses with a hook. Taylor swats away the attempt to clinch by Cottrell. Taylor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A head kick misses from Cottrell. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taylor thows a body shot but no joy. Cottrell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. An inside leg kick lands from Taylor. Cottrell tries a head kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body kick from Taylor. Taylor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Taylor throws the kick towards the body but Cottrell avoids it. Taylor loads up on a big right hand but Cottrell slips the punch. Cottrell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Taylor works over Cottrell's head and body with a nice combination. Taylor feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cottrell's calf. Sid Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taylor lands with a nice body kick. Taylor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cottrell moves away. Cottrell closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Cottrell ducks under a wild hook from Taylor. Taylor shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Taylor seems to be working for a kimura but Cottrell defends the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor is figuring out what he wants to do next. Cottrell is trying to stand.
Cottrell is staying active underneath Taylor, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Taylor is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Taylor is looking to take a break and control but Cottrell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A head kick by Cottrell misses and Taylor counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Taylor throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Taylor. Taylor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Taylor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Taylor instigates a clinch. Cottrell lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
It looks like Sid Taylor has been cut. Taylor tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cottrell just stands there and leans against the cage. Cottrell tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Cottrell throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Taylor blocks it with crossed arms. Taylor goes for a takedown attempt but Cottrell pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Cottrell slips a jab from Taylor.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cottrell stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sid Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Taylor throws a sloppy head kick and Cottrell counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Taylor is lucky that one didn't land flush. Taylor fails to land the takedown. Sid Taylor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cottrell misses with a head kick.
Taylor darts in trying to clinch and Cottrell counters by clinching up. Cottrell misses with a knee to the head. Taylor jumps guard but Cottrell stands there with Taylor around his waist. Taylor gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cottrell tries to land a knee to the head but Taylor blocks with his arms.

Cottrell with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Cottrell is breathing heavily. Taylor is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Cottrell gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Taylor throws a knee to the head but misses.
Taylor tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cottrell avoids it. Cottrell wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Cottrell is trying to break free. Cottrell tries a knee to the head but Taylor blocks it.
Taylor pulls Cottrell into guard.
Taylor manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Taylor gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor misses with a leg kick and Cottrell counters with a head kick. That will keep Taylor thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Cottrell throws a right and a left that Taylor avoids nicely. Cottrell wants to clinch up but Taylor keeps it at a distance. Cottrell misses with a takedown attempt and Taylor counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Taylor sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cottrell defending well though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cottrell's head. Cottrell wants to get back to his feet. Taylor lands with a punch from half guard. Taylor seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Cottrell has recovered full guard. Cottrell wants to get back to his feet but Taylor passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sid Taylor dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Sid Taylor's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Cottrell throws a head kick that misses and Taylor counters with a shoot takedown. Cottrell fights it but they end up in guard. Taylor trying to control but Cottrell is working from the bottom. Taylor postures up in Cottrell's guard and throws a big left but Cottrell blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cottrell is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cottrell has escaped and now he's on top! Taylor is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Taylor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cottrell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cottrell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cottrell's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cottrell manages to get himself to full guard.
Taylor drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cottrell dives on top into guard. Taylor keeping moving, preventing Cottrell from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cottrell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sid Taylor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cottrell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Taylor has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cottrell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Sid Taylor showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Taylor, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
