Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Earl Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chairman Mao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mao comes into a darkened arena with his song building. RENEGADE MASTER kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Chairman Mao will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Earl Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chairman Mao! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mao rushes Anderson and presses him up against the cage. Anderson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Anderson wants a takedown.
Anderson looking for a takedown. Mao wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mao tries to score a body lock takedown but Anderson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Mao gets a trip takedown into half guard. Mao is looking to advance position but Anderson won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mao controlling the action here. Anderson is trying to maintain the position but Mao is very close to passing his half guard. Mao content to control rather than advance. Anderson wants to control but Mao is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mao is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Mao decides to stand and escape the position. Mao looks for a takedown but Anderson sprawls well. Chairman Mao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mao shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Mao controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mao pushing down on Anderson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Mao decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Mao has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mao creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Mao goes for a takedown in the clinch but Anderson prevents it.

Mao's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Mao duly obliges. Mao rushes Anderson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Mao goes for a takedown in the clinch but Anderson prevents it.
Mao has had enough of the clinch but Anderson keeps him there for the moment. Mao fails to pull guard.
Anderson gets underhooks to prevent Mao's takedown attempt.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mao. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Mao misses with a punch on the inside.

Mao has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Anderson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Anderson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mao can't fight it off and eventually Anderson manages to take the fight to the floor. Mao looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mao is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Anderson content to stall in guard here. Anderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Anderson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Anderson wants to pass the guard but Mao is keeping the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mao can do anything to dispel that myth. Mao avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mao wants to sweep here but Anderson controlling him for the moment. Mao lands a good elbow from the bottom. Anderson wants to control from the top but Mao keeps moving.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A nice combination there by Mao.
Mao closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mao lands in his opponent's guard. Anderson trying to keep a closed guard but Mao is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chairman Mao dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mao tries to score a power double leg takedown but Anderson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mao somewhat. Mao scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Mao keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mao instigates a clinch. Mao tries to score a body lock takedown but Anderson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Mao breaks from the clinch.
Mao tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mao's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Mao duly obliges. Mao gets the takedown into side control. Anderson prevents Mao from improving position. Mao controlling from side mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson is trying to control Mao's posture but Mao avoids it. Mao looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Anderson is trying to improve his position. Anderson is letting Mao control him for a moment. Mao decides to stand up, so the ref orders Anderson to his feet.

Anderson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Anderson wants to control but Mao is keeping him busy. Anderson fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Chairman Mao showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Mao forces Anderson back against the cage and clinches. Mao wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Mao has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Anderson uses from the top position. Mao keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mao is on top in guard.
Mao is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Anderson is trying to control the position but Mao postures up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mao sitting in guard, not really doing much. Anderson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mao wants to get up but he can't break Anderson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Mao is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson is pulling down on Mao's head to control his posture. Anderson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Anderson wants to get back to his feet but Mao is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Mao stays in close to Anderson's body and controls the position. Anderson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mao is controlling him. Anderson being controlled here, momentarily.

Mao tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Anderson smiles and moves away.

Mao walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. The fight stays on the outside here - Mao looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Anderson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mao. Mao closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Anderson is looking to control Mao's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Anderson avoid being mounted? Still in half guard, Mao seems content to control.

Mao controlling the pace. Mao trying to control the action but Anderson is working from the bottom. Anderson is trying to stand up here but Mao is controlling him well. Anderson trying to hold on to Mao's head to control him but Mao postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Anderson tries to clinch up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mao fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Earl Anderson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Earl Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chairman Mao. Mao moves into the clinch successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Chairman Mao comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mao has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
