Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rodney Gailfus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poulain shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gailfus as he avoids it easily.
Gailfus tries to clinch but Poulain moves out of range.
Gailfus doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Poulain counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gailfus!
Gailfus tries to lock up and control but Poulain gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gailfus is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Gailfus on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gailfus tries to get out of the position.

Poulain looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gailfus with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Poulain takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Poulain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gailfus tries to avoid it but Poulain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gailfus to the ground. Gailfus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
