Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Snatch Dat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey McMahon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dat might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bring The Pain. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Snatch Dat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mickey McMahon! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McMahon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dat's waist but Dat gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McMahon off to one side. No joy there for McMahon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fight stays on the outside here - McMahon looks like he's thinking about clinching though. McMahon wants to clinch. Dat is trying hard to land a takedown here. McMahon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Dat walks into a jab. McMahon tries to clinch up. McMahon lands with a right hand. Some wild striking there from McMahon.
Dat takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Dat closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. McMahon sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dat working the head and body with strikes. Dat missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Dat not landing any meaningful shots this time. Dat working the head and body with strikes. McMahon is looking to improve his position.
Dat scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Dat is nestled in close to McMahon, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McMahon is looking to improve his position.
Dat seems to be working for a kimura but McMahon defends the submission attempt. McMahon is trying to stand back up but Dat is controlling him
McMahon is looking for a sweep. Dat is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dat wants to work for an arm triangle but McMahon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dat throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. McMahon flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. McMahon with a poor takedown and Dat counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Dat looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McMahon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McMahon tries to roll over but Dat keeps him under control. Dat working the head and body with strikes. Dat working the head and body with strikes. Dat scoring with strikes to the body and head. Dat is working for a submission of some sort.
Dat is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McMahon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dat. Dat is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. McMahon landing strikes from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dat is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, McMahon has managed to free his arm - good work. McMahon is looking to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dat feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dat works over McMahon with some ground and pound from guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Dat passes McMahon's right leg, so he's now in half guard. McMahon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. McMahon is looking to control Dat's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McMahon avoid being mounted? Dat wants to lay and pray for a moment but McMahon keeps working. McMahon is looking to improve his position.
Dat is looking for a kimura but McMahon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dat to get the leverage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dat is working for a kimura but McMahon is defending it quite comfortably.
Dat takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Snatch Dat dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
McMahon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mickey McMahon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McMahon tries to close the distance and clinch but Dat swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. McMahon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. McMahon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dat was well out of range. Poor timing from McMahon. McMahon throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
McMahon misses with a straight left. McMahon misses with a hook. McMahon moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. McMahon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dat shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dat was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dat landing strikes, looking to finish! McMahon keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Snatch Dat overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dat lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
McMahon is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dat landing strikes from the mount and McMahon is in trouble! Dat lands a big shot there that rocks McMahon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
McMahon is rocked! McMahon keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
McMahon is still in real trouble! Can Dat finish him? Dat has control of McMahon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McMahon regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Dat working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. McMahon seems to have recovered his senses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McMahon is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Dat is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But McMahon has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from McMahon! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McMahon looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dat manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McMahon manages to get himself to full guard.

Dat is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McMahon is just riding it out for now. Dat eventually gives up the hold. McMahon is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dat pulls his head out easily. Dat trying to control from McMahon's half guard. McMahon has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Dat wants to control from the top but McMahon keeps moving. Dat landing with the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dat makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Dat in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Dat trying to control the position from guard on top but McMahon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dat is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McMahon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. McMahon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dat with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Dat has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Dat works a leg free and moves into half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dat looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Dat looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Snatch Dat dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Dat moves out of range of the strikes. McMahon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Dat looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. McMahon tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Dat counters with a shoot takedown. McMahon fights it but they end up in guard. McMahon has momentary wrist control but Dat slips an elbow through the middle. Dat loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Dat trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dat throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McMahon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dat is looking to work some ground and pound but McMahon has wrist control. McMahon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dat can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Dat looking to pass the guard.

Dat gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. McMahon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dat drops back looking for a leg! McMahon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McMahon manages to kick Dat off! Dat jumps back into McMahon's guard. Dat trying to control but McMahon is working from the bottom. McMahon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dat can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McMahon won't be happy with that. Dat wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McMahon, who protects the arm well. Dat is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McMahon has escaped the position, nice work there. Dat wants to control but McMahon is keeping him busy. McMahon is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Dat is controlling him well. McMahon tries to bench press Dat off him but Dat keeps the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dat trying to control the position but McMahon is working away. Dat landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Dat is looking to take a break and control but McMahon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dat tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dat has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! You can see the frustration on McMahon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mickey McMahon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dat tries for a kimura but McMahon is defending well. McMahon takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
And that's the end of the fight! Snatch Dat showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dat, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
