Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia tries for a takedown but Johansen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Johansen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
A lull in the action here as Johansen stalls from top position.
Johansen postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Johansen wants to control but Maia is keeping him busy.
Johansen wants to stand but Maia has his arm trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Johansen wants to take a breather but Maia manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Johansen.
Maia keeping moving, preventing Johansen from controlling successfully.
Maia avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Johansen looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Johansen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maia has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johansen has managed to get both his arms back between Maia's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johansen wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Maia's closed guard. He's half up but Maia has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Maia pivots and extends the arm, Johansen falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Maia! Well done that man!
