Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between JJ Goodis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, JJ Goodis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Jackson! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goodis keeps the fight on the outside. Goodis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jackson tries to clinch there but Goodis circles away.
Goodis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Goodis showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jackson.
Goodis shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Goodis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Goodis, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JJ Goodis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Goodis to score an easy takedown into full guard. Goodis is fighting to break Jackson's control of his arms but Jackson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Goodis from controlling successfully. Jackson pulls Goodis in close to prevent any damage. Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jackson working a defensive guard here.
Goodis wants to stand but Jackson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Goodis being controlled here momentarily. Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Goodis kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Goodis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat. Jackson swinging wilding here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goodis misses with a combination
and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Goodis won't be happy with that. Goodis struggling a bit here. Goodis tries to improve position but can't. Jackson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Jackson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jackson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jackson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Goodis has escaped the position, nice work there. Jackson looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson controlling from side mount. Goodis tries to strike but it doesn't land. Goodis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jackson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Goodis with a lazy takedown attempt and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown. Goodis fights it but they end up in guard. Goodis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Jackson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jackson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Goodis. Jackson is looking to clinch. Goodis stuffs the takedown. Jackson dips to his left and cracks Goodis with an uppercut! The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Goodis. Jackson misses with an uppercut. Goodis saw that one coming. Jackson fails with a takedown attempt. Jackson is breathing heavily.

Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Goodis avoids it really well and circles away. JJ Goodis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Jackson. Goodis fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Goodis keeps the fight on the outside. Goodis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jackson. Goodis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Goodis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Goodis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jackson counters with a lovely shot to the body. Goodis closes the distance looking to clinch and Jackson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Goodis thinking. Goodis slaps away a takedown attempt from Jackson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jackson darts in trying to clinch and Goodis counters with a head kick. That will keep Jackson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! A head kick misses from Goodis. Jackson shoots in and bounces Goodis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jackson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jackson's corner is telling him to maintain position. Jackson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

James Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Goodis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Jackson has Goodis pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jackson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Goodis tumbling to the mat - Jackson dives into Goodis's guard. Jackson advances to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. James Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far. Goodis had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jackson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Goodis Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jackson's back instead. Goodis is trying to stick to Jackson's back but Jackson is turning into Goodis. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Goodis's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jackson.

Goodis is working an open guard so Jackson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jackson tries to clinch but Goodis moves away and Goodis counters with a nice body shot. Jackson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Goodis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Goodis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jackson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JJ Goodis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Goodis drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Goodis is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Jackson closes the distance looking to clinch and Goodis counters by clinching up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jackson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Goodis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Jackson fails to pull guard.
Goodis's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Goodis gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Jackson prevents Goodis from breaking the clinch. Jackson tries to pull guard but Goodis won't allow it.
Jackson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Goodis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Goodis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jackson misses with a two punch combination.
Jackson throws a hook but Goodis avoids it easily. Goodis stuffs the takedown. Jackson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. A punch combination from Goodis misses. Goodis clinches. Jackson can't break the clinch.
Goodis breaks the clinch.
Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Goodis's waist but Goodis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side. Goodis shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed Goodis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jackson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Goodis counters with a low kick, right behind Jackson 's knee. Some wild striking there from Jackson.
JJ Goodis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! James Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jackson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
And that's the end of the fight! James Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Jackson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
