The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wales lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Fukamachi misses the shot to the body.
Sho Fukamachi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wales avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wales throws a hook but Fukamachi avoids it easily.
Nice sprawl there from Wales as Fukamachi shoots in.
Wales scoring well with a low kick there.
Wales ducks under a wild hook from Fukamachi.
Fukamachi wants to clinch up but Wales keeps it at a distance.
Fukamachi shoots in but Wales avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wales throws a right hand that Fukamachi ducks under and follows up with a left that Fukamachi also avoids with ease.
Wales lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Fukamachi throws a head kick but Wales moves out of range.
Wales misses with a two punch combination.
Wales is looking to chop away at Fukamachi's legs.
Fukamachi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Wales works Fukamachi's body with a nice hook.
Fukamachi is looking to clinch but Wales is avoiding it.
Wales swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fukamachi misses with a body kick.
Fukamachi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wales misses with a looping right.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wales takes a swing at Fukamachi's ribcage but misses.
Wales circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fukamachi misses with a double jab
and Wales connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fukamachi throws a head kick that misses

and Wales counters with a crisp one two that drops Fukamachi! Wales thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Fukamachi to his feet! Fukamachi is in big trouble!


Fukamachi is rocked!
Fukamachi darts in trying to clinch
and Wales makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Oh Fukamachi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fukamachi is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wales is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Fukamachi hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Josey Wales!
Josey Wales is the new bantamweight champion!
