Magas is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Europe - The Final Countdown. Andrei Volkov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Magas avoids the head kick by Volkov.
Magas changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Volkov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Magas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Volkov wants to control but Magas is keeping him busy.
Magas is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Volkov's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Magas is not content to let Volkov control the position.
Magas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Volkov is trying to control the action in half guard but Magas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Volkov tries to stand and escape but Magas is controlling the position.
Magas flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Volkov fails with the takedown.
Magas dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Volkov tries to clinch up but Magas circles away and keeps his distance.
Magas darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Andrei Volkov has been cut.
Volkov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Magas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Volkov.
Magas moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Meodread Magas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Volkov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Magas.

Volkov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Magas throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Magas moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Magas scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Magas lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Volkov can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Magas and Volkov drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Magas.
