Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
kimura drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
kimura cracks Karpov with a big elbow.
Karpov is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, kimura asserts his dominance and retains side control.
kimura has knee on belly and moves into mount.
kimura lands with some strikes.
It looks like Vladimir Karpov has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Karpov has left one of his arms exposed and kimura doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Karpov screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
