The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wesley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wesley forces Taalasmaa back against the cage and clinches.
Wesley tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Taalasmaa avoids it.
Taalasmaa lands a shoulder strike.
Wesley can't find room to land a body shot as Taalasmaa controls the action.
Wesley has Taalasmaa pressed against the cage.
Taalasmaa stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Wesley throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Wesley is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Taalasmaa is keeping busy.
Taalasmaa scores with a nice hook to the head.
Taalasmaa pushes Wesley back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Wesley is trying to maintain a safe position but Taalasmaa gets an underhook and turns Wesley into the cage.
Taalasmaa lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Wesley is trying to stall.
Taalasmaa lands an elbow inside.
Taalasmaa lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Taalasmaa lands a right hand.
Taalasmaa has picked Wesley up - he's going for a ride! Taalasmaa dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Taalasmaa has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wesley in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Wesley tries to hold on but Taalasmaa pushes him away.
Taalasmaa fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Wesley takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Wesley is rocked!
Taalasmaa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Taalasmaa is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Wesley is forced to tap! Great finish!
