Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Matson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enrico Zamora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Enrico Zamora is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Enrico Zamora! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zamora shoots in for a takedown but Matson shows good takedown defense. A big right from Matson misses. Matson tries to clinch but Zamora moves out of range. Zamora dives in and grabs Matson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Matson pushes down on Zamora's head and hops out. Zamora has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Matson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Zamora throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Matson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Matson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zamora. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matson leaves Zamora with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Matson stuffs the takedown. Zamora blocks the body kick.

Matson throws a half hearted mid kick. Josh Matson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zamora on the wrong end of a nice hook. Matson works over Zamora's head and body with a nice combination. Zamora avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zamora shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Matson as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matson tries to close the distance and clinch but Zamora swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Zamora fails with the takedown. Zamora is breathing heavily. Matson moves in looking to clinch but Zamora pushes him off. Matson is working the combinations to good effect here. Matson tries to bum rush Zamora with a series of wild strikes but Zamora uses good footwork to avoid the assault. No luck for Zamora with that takedown attempt. Matson misses with a two punch combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Zamora shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Zamora throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Zamora can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Matson is looking to escape. Zamora postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Matson looks a forlorn figure.
Zamora misses with a head shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zamora tries to score a power double leg takedown but Matson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Zamora somewhat. Matson with a body punch. A glancing blow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Matson throws a series of punches but Zamora moves out of range. Matson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Zamora doesn't seem bothered though. Matson tries to clinch but Zamora is having none of it. Matson misses with a body kick. Matson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zamora stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Matson throws a right hand that Zamora ducks under and follows up with a left that Zamora also avoids with ease. Matson fails with an attempt to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Josh Matson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Matson, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
